This is an activity that relates to the KDI mathematics
This simple number trail mix is a fun way to get kids involved in making snack and get in a little math practice too.
For this activity you can write a different number in six cupcake liners and place each one in a cupcake tin. Have a variety of favorite snacks (or leftover snacks). Each child can come up and help prepare their snack after they wash their hands. Explain to each child that they are going to help make their own trail mix. But there is a catch – they can only fill each cup in the tin with the number of snacks written on the liner. After they have finished filling their tins the children can put their mixture in a baggie and enjoy.
