For this large group activity I would like to have a game of follow the leader. The teacher can start as the leader but then pass the job on to someone else. Have the children jump, sing, crawl etc...
Early learners may only follow simple demands
Middle learners may do only hand movements and not leg movements
Advances learners will be able to do entire activity
Scaffolding: Help the early learners to try and do the more complex movements. Say something like "I notice you are putting your hands on your head, etc..."
You could comment on the different movements the kids are doing and encourage them to try more complex combinations.
